5/27/2023 0 Comments Brow flickIf you’re an apply-your-brows-in-a-hurry kind of brow filler, skip the Brow Flick. If you’re trying to get fuller-looking brows and have a lot of patience and a light hand, you might want to give the Brow Flick a go it comes in only 3 shades: Blonde, Brown or Black. At the moment, it is a bit of a pain in the ass though, and I do hate that it takes so much longer to apply with uneven results. Overall, if I can learn to apply Brow Flick a bit more evenly in the first part of my brows, I think I would love it. Right: eyebrow with Glossier Brow Flick applied. You can see a before and after pic below and you can see that the inner portion of the eyebrow in the after pics looks heavy, while the outer portions come out much cleaner: Left: bare eyebrow. What do I like about Brow Flick? Despite the long list of issues included above, it is great for giving me bold, bushier looking brows, especially on the outer two-thirds of my brows where I find I can apply it more evenly.īrow Flick makes my brows look like they filled themselves in over night, in a fairly natural way, which is a look I can’t achieve as well with my ABH Dipbrow Pomade. If you look closely in the after pic below, you can see that on the inner portion of my brow, there are some dark, heavy blotches that stand out from the rest of the brow where I applied to much pressure or where build up from the tip got transferred. Does the Glossier Brow Flick Dry Out? Yes, I found it started to dry out after a couple months, even though I stored it bristle-side down and didn’t use it every day. The pen also tends to get a bit of build-up on the tip as you apply it, which I have to remove to avoid it leaving blotchy bits in my brows. The tip of the pen has also dulled quite a bit over time as you can see in the pic below when compared to the tip in the Instagram video I posted above. It’s hard for me to angle the brush straight up and still get a light application, which often means I’ll get darker, blotchy pigments in that area. While I find Brow Flick very easy to apply evenly on the outer portions of my brow, the inner portion of my brow (where the hairs grow straight up) is much more difficult. Given the attention to detail and the need for a light hand, Brow Flick takes a lot longer to apply then my ABH Dipbrow Pomade (although I’ve been getting better and faster with practice). Applying it in a microbladed/hair-stroke fashion also takes time and skill – you have to have a very light hand and use the very tip of the pen, or lay the pen on its side to get thin, hair-like strokes that aren’t too thick or heavy.Īgain, light pressure is key, which can be tough, especially if you are not an eyebrow artist (*raises hand*). I also wish the pigment of the brown was a touch lighter, as it can appear almost brown-black with added pressure.īrow Flick also sets/dries down quite quickly, making it difficult to correct any errors you’ve made unless you fix it immediately. Apply too much pressure and the pigment gets much darker and the line will be thicker. Here’s the exhaustive list…The pigment of Brow Flick varies with how much pressure you apply apply it lightly and the pigment will be soft and light. Tip: Be sure to store your eyebrow and eyeliner pens with the marker side down to keep the pen moist and ready to use. Luckily, it seemed to dry out a bit after a week or so, which helped a lot with application. Upon opening the Brown Flick pen, I found it to be quite wet and difficult to use. Never thought I’d be one for a brow pen, but when I saw one of my fave YouTubers, Andreea Ali demonstrating its microblading effects on her Instagram account, I ordered the Brow Flick for myself immediately.īut does it work?
